WaterDropCurtain is a project of Poetic Desing in Munich. As the name implies, a design element was created reminiscent of a curtain made out of drops of water. The curtain consists of water-filled plastic balls. This curtain is backlit by LEDs and thus gets its colors. This is also where we came into play. We digitilised this project by building a RGB LED grid with matching software to let the WaterDropCurtain not only iluminate in gorgeous color, but also let it be video-enabled. This design element can be used diversely. Whether as an eye-catcher in the foyer, or as a functional element as a curtain, WaterDropCurtain gives rooms a unique light diffusion and open spaces a privacy. This design element has been installed in several hotels, restaurants and shops.
